Composer and Multi-Media Artist

I am a composer, multi-instrumentalist, and multimedia artist currently based in Perth, Western Australia. With work that has been described as “hyper-modern” and “profoundly colourful”, I enjoy pushing traditional convention and contorting the limits of the classical ensemble. I incorporate elements of electronic music, hip-hop, pop, and modern jazz, creating sonic worlds that are original and deeply embedded in modern culture while also murmuring the musical legacy of the past.
My work has been performed and commissioned by numerous ensembles including The Western Australian Symphony Orchestra, Mix’t Trio, Perth Symphony Orchestra, Australian Youth Orchestra, Symbios Quartet and Willoughby Symphony Orchestra. Having arranged over 100 orchestra arrangements, I am increasingly being sought after as an arranger of pop music and classical crossover collaborations.
I am versatile artist with frequent collaborations in theatre, visual art making, and I contributed to award-winning performances including "Subliminal Drift" performed at the 2023 Fremantle Biennale alongside Laura Boynes, where I composed the musical score. I am also an accomplished sound installation artist, with projects showcased as far as Fujiyoshida, Japan. Most recently, I completed a studio residency at the Perth Institute of Contemporary Art in 2024, creating my first ‘Dream Room’ – a multi-sensory interactive music experience.
Upcoming performances include a collaboration with ANAM musicians and a composition for Symbios Quartet. I am also currently working on a debut album of chamber music and organising the debut performance of my new chamber ensemble named ‘Contortion Collective’.
I have been the recipient of multiple awards including Willoughby Symphony Young Composer award and two Royal Overseas Awards for best original composition.
I hold a Bachelor of Music Composition with first class honours from the Western Australian Academy of Performing arts, and regularly teach there in the subjects of composition and orchestration.
