About mid-way through 2025, Director Tom Noakes and producer Adrian Pinto approached me to write the score for their new short film 'THE WORM' just before it went into production.

I had such a great time writing this twisted and troubling score for this twisted and troubling film, mainly because of Tom Noakes, Adrian Pinto and Will Goodfellow, who were great collaborators.

This score used entirely the human voice and a bizarre instrument called a daxophone - no that's not a spelling error. It's essentially a bowed piece of wood with a pickup mic built in, but the sound it produces is incredible and eerie. This was all director Tom's idea.

 

I'm pleased to announce that THE WORM will have its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah 2026. A huge achievement by everyone. 🔗
